Nestled in the Allegheny Mountains, Bryce Resort in Bayse is a 400-acre member-owned resort that is open to the public and is known throughout the mid-Atlantic region as being the most family-oriented resort in Virginia.
Facilities include the main Lodge — with Coleman's Restaurant and Braxton's Bar — that overlooks the magestic Allegheny Mountains. Other areas of interest include the Ski Cafeteria, Ski Boutique and the Ski School.
Late Fall through March -
Skiing and snowboarding on eight slopes, two chair lifts and three carpet lifts dominate the activities at this time of year. Slopes are classified beginner through advanced. Night skiing is offered, as well as a Ski School and children's school - the SKIwee Program. Ski Racing clinics and events happen throughout the season, too.
Snow Tubing at Ridge Runners Park is a great thrill at Bryce Resort and includes a carpeted lift back up to the top! No skills needed!
Early Spring through Fall - Weather permitting, golf is played year 'round at Bryce. The championship mountain course offers challenges of trees and a creek that meanders through the course.
After the snow has melted from the slopes, athletes love mountain boarding and grass skiing, and everyone can enjoy the scenic chair lift rides to the top of the mountain. Try our new mountain tubing run.
Lake Laura is a great place to swim, fish, raft or boat. Equipment available for rental.
Other outdoor activities include swimming in the outdoor pool at the condominiums, tennis, the Stoney Creek Lilliputt miniature golf course, horseback riding and hiking along North Mountain Trail.
