The Boating Capital of the Chesapeake Bay!
Deltaville is located on the Chesapeake Bay, at the eastern end of the Middle Peninsula, on Virginia's coastal plain. The town is bounded on the north by the Rappahannock River and on the south by the Piankatank River. The Eastern Shore lies 17 miles to the east, across the Chesapeake Bay. Deltaville's history was shaped by these waterways, naming the town the "Boating Capital of the Chesapeake Bay.
The rivers, creeks and marshes throughout shape the town's lifestyle today. Miles of shoreline create rich habitats for an abundance of wildlife, including deer, foxes, beavers, and muskrats. And on walks along the water, you'll spot great blue herons, wild turkeys, bald eagles, hawks, pelican and ospreys.
The Deltaville lifestyle is fishing tournaments, sailboat races, seafood festivals and more.
