The Plains

Located in Northern Virginia, The Plains is best known for its lush, rolling landscape and equestrian traditions.

Great Meadow

Don your best hat and head over to The Great Meadow Equestrian Center - host of the annual Virginia Gold Cup, International Gold Cup, and various polo matches throughout the year.

The Plains is rich in history. It was the site of the first Union camp in Fauquier County during the Civil War, and is home to the Afro-American Historical Association. Be sure to see the 18 exhibits focusing on African Americans from Slavery to the Civil Rights Movement in Fauquier County.

Browse the quaint shops and enjoy a scrumptious dinner on your next trip through!
