    Mechanicsville - June 15 - Civil War Encampment at Historic Polegreen Church - The public is invited to visit the Church site which figured prominently in the Civil War story of Rural Plains and offers interpretation about these events.

    Richmond - June 15 - Richmond Raiders vs. Louisiana Swashbucklers - Richmond Raiders indoor football is fast-paced, high-scoring fun for the whole family! Saturday nights at the Richmond Coliseum. Serious football, serious fun!
     Ticket & Hotel - Stay at the Richmond Magnuson Hotel for one to three nights and get two lower level Raider game tickets for only $10.

    Afton - June 16 - Father's Day at Cardinal Point Vineyard & Winery - Treat Dad to a tasting and some complimentary hor d'oeurvres selected to go with our wines. Dad gets a free Cardinal Point wine glass to take home.

    Afton - June 16 - Father's Day Brunch at Blue Mountain Brewery - Father's Day Brunch at Blue Mountain Brewery 11AM to 2PM. Enjoy views of the Blue Ridge Mountains while savoring a brunch featuring the best ingredients from local farms.

    Beaverdam - June 16 - Father's Day at Patrick Henry's Scotchtown - Celebrating parent receives free admission when accompanied by his family. Free ice cream cones for all!

    Forest - June 16 - Father's Day at Poplar Forest - Treat your Father to a FREE tour of Poplar Forest this Father's Day!

     

    Southern Virginia

    Axton - June 15-16 - CCS 14th Annual Festival of Speed Motorcycle Roadracing - he annual battle for the CCS Mid-Atlantic Championship rolls in for their 11th Paul Ferrell Memorial. The pressure will be on as caution is thrown to the wind and riders get set to battle it out. Additonal races and activies ae in the works, making this a unique event to experience as a rider and a fan!

     

    Blue Ridge Highlands

    Critz - June 15 - Bushels and Barrels Local Food, Wine and Beer Festival - The Festival will feature "After Jack," "The Les Moore Trio," and "The Reflex," an 80s cover band that will rock your world! Five local wineries and two breweries.

    Mouth of Wilson - June 15 - Wayne C. Henderson Music Festival and Guitar Competition - The festival features the area's best traditional musicians. It's $10 per person, and kids under 12 get in free.

    Woolwine - June 15 - Virginia Covered Bridge Festival in Patrick County - There will be live bands, numerous artists and craftsmen exhibiting and selling their products, and food vendors. Wagon rides, tractor pulled hay rides and antique car rides will be available providing travel from one covered bridge to the other. Kids will have a terrific time at the kid activity area that has a petting zoo, moonwalk, face painting and more!

    Wytheville - June 15 - Moutain Top Music: Marv Ashby & High Octane - Join us as we welcome Marv Ashby & High Octane! Outdoor concert, free to the public, bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the entertainment!

    Abingdon - June 16 - Farm Fresh Sunday Gospel Brunch - Seasonally fresh menu rooted in the weekly harvest of Southwest Virginia farms, featuring live music from throughout the region.

     

    Northern Virginia

    Alexandria - June 14-16 - Free Tours for Fathers on Father's Day - Carlyle House is pleased to offer free tours on Father's Day for all Fathers and Grandfathers! Treat the dads in your life to a free tour of one of the oldest homes in Alexandria, Carlyle House, which served as General Braddock's headquarters during the French and Indian War.

    Bristow - June 15 - BBQ and Baseball at Brentsville! - Summer is here and baseball is in full swing! Come to Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre and enjoy watching and playing historic baseball, touring the historic buildings, and enjoy BBQ from local vendors.

    The Plains - June 15 - Twilight Polo at Great Meadow - Pack a Picnic or there are vendors on site. After Polo Matches there is dancing on the Pavilion. Enjoy the rest of the evening dancing under the stars! Gates open at 6:30 P.M., with the first match to begin at 7:00 P.M. Admission is $30 per carload.

    Vienna - June 15 - Bill Cosby at Wolf Trap - One of the world's most accomplished entertainers, this GRAMMY-winning comedian, actor, musician, and author has helped audiences find humor in everyday affairs for more than 50 years.

    Mount Vernon - June 15-16 - Father's Day Weekend at Mount Vernon - Mount Vernon invites visitors to spend Father's Day with the Father of Our County!

    Alexandria - June 16 - Gadsby's Father's Day Tours - Celebrate with your favorite father at the place where the Father of our Country ate, drank, and influenced history. Gadsby’s Tavern Museum is pleased to offer free tours on Father’s Day for all visiting fathers! Cost $5 for all other adults and $3 for children (ages 11-17).

    Fredericksburg - June 16 - Father's Day Tour Special - Father's Day historical tour about the fathers in our countries history.

    Fredericksburg - June 16 - Trolley Tours of Fredericksburg - Father's Day Special - $5.00 of the regular rate for father's. Treat your dad and spend the day together. Father's Day only.

    Purcellville - June 16 - Father's Day Event with Remote Conrol Planes - On Father's Day, remote control plans will entertain while you enjoy wine tasting or a picnic on the grounds at Doukenie Winery.

    Round Hill - June 16 - Father's Day Event at Bogati Bodega - Once a year we celebrate Father's Day. Giving Dad a quality cigar is a fine personal gift that is traditional on his day. All Dads’ will receive a cigar with their tasting (while supplies last). $15 includes tasting and cigar.

    Warrenton - June 16 - Annual Father's Day Car Show - Annual Father's Day traditon and growing every year. Classic and antique cars, hot rods and motorcycles line Main Street and several side streets. Crafters, family games, live music and food vendors--plus the opportunity to take the historic walking tour and visit the Old Jail Museum.

     

    Heart of Appalachia

    Breaks - June 15-16 - Father's Day Gospel Sing - The park, located on the Virginia/Kentucky border, is one of only two Interstate Parks in the nation. The Father's Day Gospel Sing will feature performances by groups in the immediate and surrounding areas.

     

    Shenandoah Valley

    Hot Springs - June 14-16 - Virginia Blues & Jazz Festival - Annual Virginia Jazz and Blues Festival held at the Garth Newel Music Center in the Allegheny Highlands of the Shenandoah Valley.

    Berryville - June 15 - Show Off Your Harley Day - Grab your Dad and your Harley's or just come on out and admire the bikes and the view! Fun, live music by the Rolling Coyotes and Shaffer's will be on site selling their famous barbeque sandwiches too! Awards given out for people's choice, favorite bike. Noon to 5pm. Call for reservations.

    Grottoes - June 15 - Grand Caverns Heritage Day - Grand Caverns Heritage Day. Living history demostrations, finale events for Stonewall Jackson's Way: Remembering the Valley Campaign, the History Mobile, and a candlelight tour and  ballroom dance.

    Harrisonburg - June 15 - Chamber Music Series - Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival - Noon Chamber Music Series of the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival, featuring ensemble music by Bach, Verdi, Britten and more.

    Edinburg - June 15-16 - Murray's On The Stream Smallmouth Bass School - These Smallmouth Bass Schools are conducted from our fly shop in Edinburg VA and we fish either the North or South Fork of the Shenandoah River. We adapt the fishing portion of these schools to meet the specific needs of each individual student whether they are beginners, intermediate or advanced anglers.

    Bent Mountain - June 16 - Father's Day Lunch 2013 - Treat your family to a special day at the winery to celebrate Dad! Enjoy a special buffet lunch, sample our fine wines with a complimentary tasting, and relax with beautiful music.

    Natural Bridge - June 16 - Natural Bridge Father's Day BBQ - Give Dad a break this Father’s Day with a spread of freshly grilled chicken, ribs, and sausage, jalepeno cheese cornbread, corn on the cob, salad bar, apple cobbler, and more of the chef’s specialties; treat him to a couple of beers, too.

     

    Coastal Virginia - Hampton Roads

    Virginia Beach - June 13-16 - Boardwalk Art Show & Festival - Enjoy 300 artists and a fun festival atmosphere at the oceanfront during Father's Day Weekend. The Boardwalk Art Show and Festival is one of the oldest and best outdoor fine art shows on the Eastern Seaboard.

    Hampton - June 14-16 - FREE Admission for Dad - The Virginia Air & Space Center celebrates father's day by offering dads FREE EXHIBIT ADMISSION with the purchase of a child's exhibit admission.

    Williamsburg - June 14-16 - Kids Stay FREE at KOA all Father's Day Weekend - Father's receive a "stay one night, get one night free" certificate valid for the off season, but the best news is that all the kids under 17 stay free this weekend! We'll have t-shirt tie-dying ($5/shirt) and other activities to honor dads all weekend.

    Hampton - June 15 - Racing at Langley Speedway - Satisfy your need for speed at this historic NASCAR home track. The only weekly racing series in Hampton Roads. Late model, Grand Stocks, Modifieds, Legends, Wolf Trucks, Super Trucks, U-Cars, Super Street, Pro Wing Champ, Karts and Pro 6 racing. Langley Speedway, Gates open at 2:00 p.m. and racing starts at 7:00 p.m.
