Fauquier County Heritage Society for Local History & Genealogy archives & research library feature collections of noted historians & materials from the Afro-American Historical Assoc.

Fauquier County Heritage Society for Local History & Genealogy  collects archival material related to the county’s Colonial past and recent history, and provides a resource for both the study of county history and for genealogical studies.  FHPF also sponsors educational and entertaining events designed to heighten awareness of the legacy of Fauquier County’s founding families.

An ever-expanding collection of historical documents is housed in the John Kenneth Gott Library.
