The Rockbridge Historical Society was founded on August 9, 1939. The Society's purpose is “collecting, preserving and disseminating all things relating to the history of the County of Rockbridge and the City of Lexington, Virginia.” Genealogical reference materials, maps, picnice area and gardens available on site. Located in the historic Campbell House in downtown Lexington.
