Local Roots Café is the first farm to table restaurant in Roanoke Virginia. We proudly support local farmers who provide us with the best tasting fruits, vegetables and meats form southwest Virginia. Our menus are seasonally driven focusing on local and organic products whenever possible. We also source amazing, top quality wild and line caught fish. We were voted Roanoke’s #1 organic restaurant in 2008. The restaurant is owned by Diane Elliot, a loyal supporter of the local foods movement here in southwest Virginia. We serve modern American comfort food in a casual and unpretentious atmosphere. We have two organic vegetable gardens in which the Chef Smith and staff grow over 30 varieties of vegetables and herbs for the restaurant.
