One of Stafford's best rated restaurants is The Log Cabin. Cozy, timberlined walls and a fireplace create the perfect ambience for a private, specially prepared meal. In the summer, and all year round, live lobster, fresh steak, and seafood are among the specialties.
The Log Cabin, was originally built in the 1920s when it served as a gas station with tourist cabins on the historic Route 1 corridor. In the early 1940s, it was a dance hall. In 1942, the Mitchell family purchased it and opened it as a restaurant a year later. In 1979, it was converted to a steak and seafood destination.
