Established in August of 2004, Taverna is Virginia Beach’s first authentic Mediterranean Restaurant. Owned and operated by two area veteran restaurateurs, John Perros and Kal Kassir immigrated to the United States from Greece and The Middle East bringing with them a wealth of culture and generations of family recipes.
Taverna promotes a dining experience of casual elegance. The open kitchen and Chef’s table provide our guests the opportunity to observe and interact with the culinary team while they prepare the evenings fare.
Taverna is excited to announce the addition of a five thousand square foot banquet special event facility adjacent to the restaurant. The facility can accommodate up to two hundred guests for formal seated dinners and a greater number of guests for stand up receptions.
