Nestled in downtown Stanardsville, VA, The Standard offers traditional food inspired by the tastes of the community. Drawing from a lifelong love of "buying fresh, buying local," chef and owner Matt O'Varanese prides his food on the fact that it is made using only the freshest and purist ingredients available.
A learned mind in all things "green," O'Varanese studied at the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont before moving to Virginia and settling with his wife Katie and daughter Serena.
