The urban Farmhouse market & café was founded in 2010 with a mission in mind: Bring the farm to the city and suburbs and provide area residents with local, wholesome food in a warm, rustic environment. Eating in a restaurant can and should be a healthy and tasty experience.
We start each day with sustainably grown and freshly roasted coffees and fair trade teas. The menu is prepared with the freshest of produce, dairy and naturally raised meats, and they’re delivered daily. We have forged relationships with local growers and vendors, and use ingredients which represent a commitment to sustainability, organic methods, and farm-to-table meals. Free-range eggs and Virginia hams mix with fresh-baked bagels and locally made preserves. Salads and sandwiches highlight fresh, seasonal and locally-grown products. Our involvement with a local CSA provides us with berries, peaches, and apples that are a perfect accompaniment to artisan breads and wines that are only organic, biodynamic, sustainable, or local. The Market provides shoppers with foods, spices, beverages, all-natural and locally-made beauty products, and more; all represent artisans and craftsmen who share our commitment of providing the very best of what Virginia offers.
