The new Union Station Restaurant & Bar opened in downtown Harrisonburg in April 2010. Their motto is "Enjoy Our Hospitality & History". Step back into a fashionable old world setting with beveled glass windows and 'train depot' architectural features. The spacious dining room consists of booths themed to historical photographs in old 1800s Harrisonburg. A Union Station Depot actually existed near here in the old days. The building was renovated from the former Wetsel Seed Company. A private dining room and a classy bar are in adjoining rooms. Happy Hour appetizers and drinks 4-7pm Monday-Saturday. $1.00 off draft beer and wine. Dining room is open 11am-10pm Monday-Thursday; 11am-11pm Friday & Saturday. Sunday brunch buffet 10am-3pm. The bar is open 11am-11pm Monday-Thursday; Friday & Saturday 11am-12midnight.
