Step back into the 1860's and visit the Civil War living history encampment on the grounds of the historic Paxton House in Buena Vista, Virginia. Witness formation and weapons instruction, tactical camp drills, living history demonstrations, such as two battle reenactments including the Battle of Yellow Tavern, and much more!

Tentative plans include tours of the Paxton  House, a Friday night picnic supper, children's activities and Sunday church service.

Friday May 1 is school day for interested groups, BV students mostly from the middle school from 9AM - 2PM.
Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3 will be living history. Sat: 9AM-6PM, Sun: 9AM-4PM,
