Don't miss the 40th annual Pork, Peanut and Pine Festival, a family event that celebrates three of Surry's agricultural products in a two-day festival of arts, crafts, music and food. More than 225 artisans display their wares. A wide assortment of Virginia food vendors will be on-hand with menus that include world famous pork barbecue, fried pork rinds, grilled pork chops, sausage, ham biscuits, peanut pie and peanut brittle. Bring your appetite and plan to stay all day. Admission is $5 per person; kids 10 and under get in free.
