For the third year in a row, the Town of Halifax will be hosting a celebration of the Banister River, as well as other forms of outdoor recreation, at the 3rd Annual Wild Blue River Festival. This year's event will feature vendors, a rock-climbing wall, bouncey pirate ship (for our littlest visitors), kayak race, canoe race, craft activities and a scenic paddle opportunity.
The festival will be located at the Kings Bridge Landing river access on the Banister River. The Wild Blue River Festival will begin at 9 a.m. Race awards will be given at the Kings Bridge Landing at 1:45 pm following the conclusion of the kayak and canoe races.
Individuals interested in the kayak and canoe races should visit https://paddleguru.com/races/WildBlueRiverFestival2016 to register ahead of time. If you register online, you are guaranteed and t-shirt and goody bag!
Previous years have brought paddlers from far and wide and we are looking forward to another great year! Come join us!
