Each year, on the first weekend in October, An Occasion For The Arts (AOFTA) provides a splendid two-day celebration of visual, literary and performing arts in and beyond Merchants Square of Colonial Williamsburg. The juried show brings the work of talented fine artists, lively performing artists, food and beverage tastings together for an event everyone in the family enjoys. Always our favorite weekend. Always inspiring.
Each year’s show features an increasing number of outstanding painters, print makers, sculptors, jewelers, photographers and other artisans of fine crafts. Multiple performance venues offer a wide range of music, dance and vocal performances.
This juried art show brings the work of talented fine artists, local youth artists, and lively performing artists together for an exciting weekend for patrons of the arts of all ages.
