BBQ teams compete for cash prize and trophy for Best BBQ and Best Presentation; attendees vote for People's Choice. Admission fee includes tasting of all BBQ entries and enjoyment of the music of the Sam Austin Band playing a lively mix of country music and classic southern rock. Children 12 and under admitted free. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages for sale, with limited menu from the Sedalia Cafe. Long green lawns and a covered pavilion ringed by the Blue Ridge Mountains. Plenty of space and parking.
