Saturday April 12, 2014 from 11 A.M. till 5 P.M. at the John Lewis Thompson Learning Center & Pop’s Country Store Museum located at 19419 Beaverdam Road in quaint downtown Beaverdam Virginia 23015 will be the venue for the third annual Beaverdam Wine Festival. This event features local wineries including James River, Lake Anna, Weston Farm, and Mattaponi along with great restaurants like Serious Taste, Nader’s Bistro & Grill, Poppin Jon’s Kettle Corn and Sara Festivals. Jewelry, Crafters, and local businesses vend their wares on the fairgrounds. Live music featuring Beaverdam’s own Premiere Band and Cobalt Whiskey will be jamming on the JLTLC&PCS Stage. Each taster receives a free souvenir wine glass and free admission to the National Historic Beaverdam Depot, burnt three times during the civil war, along with the Pop’s Country Store Museum, filled with thousands of American Antiques. This years attractions include an antique Car “Cruise In” and carriage rides pulled by Percheron Horses. This event is a fundraiser for the Association for the Preservation of the Beaverdam Depot and the Beaverdam Heritage Days Foundation two non-profit organizations founded to preserve Historical Beaverdam Virginia.
