In July a pencil drawing class produced outstanding student pencil drawings exhibited in the Frances Plecker Ed Center, August 12-22. The next is a five-session art workshop in pen and ink. Students will enjoy drawing subjects of leaves, nuts and pods in ink.
This workshop teaches basics of plant morphology and how to create realistic pencil drawings of plants. Students will learn plant structure, and how the various structures of plants work. The workshop includes walks out onto the 125 acre grounds of the EJC Arboretum to observe wildflowers in their habitat.
For new students, packaged art supplies are available at Larkin Arts in Harrisonburg at 61 Court square, 540-236-4223, 11-7pm Mon-Sat or click here for a supply list and syllabus.
Enjoy a workshop with a botanical artist who has received the tribute of being commissioned by major educational agencies, and whose work is published.
