'Tis the season for holly, jolly fun at the 12th annual Come Home to a Franklin County Christmas being held on Friday, Dec. 4. starting at 5:30 p.m. You will be enchanted by the holiday charm of Downtown Rocky Mount as you travel through streets dressed in "white lights" adorning traditional fluted lamp posts decorated with wreaths and garlands, providing a beautiful holiday backdrop to the festivities.
The evening starts with the "Biggest Little Christmas Parade", as streets are closed for the much-anticipated festival. "The North Pole" at the Rocky Mount Train Depot will be housing Santa Claus and a kids' playground. Franklin Street will be filled from the Train Depot to Bootleggers Cafe with live music, dance performances, various demonstrations, free horse & buggy rides, local artisans, food & craft vendors, and much more! The event concludes at The Harvester Performance Center with the Grand Finale "Community Christmas Carol Sing-Along". So show up early and stay late. You will not want to miss a thing.
This community event is organized by the Community Partnership, Franklin County Parks & Rec., The Harvester Performance Center and the Franklin County Branch Office of the SML Regional Chamber of Commerce.
