Danville Sings!, a multicultural church choir event, will be presented by the Danville Museum of Fine Arts & History on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm. The choir will be composed of one hundred singers drawn from twelve local churches. The program will include traditional hymns, gospel, and spirituals, and the public will be invited to join in a "sing-along."
Danville Sings! is endorsed by Danville United, a coalition of individuals and groups committed to making Danville a more tolerant, friendly, and welcoming community for all. The Museum organized the event to demonstrate that performing and fine arts can bring all people together. The Danville Museum is located in a historic crossroads of the City, connecting the Holbrook-Ross District, the Old West End and Millionaire's Row, and Downtown. The concert will be held on the grounds of the Museum rain or shine and is free and open to the public.
