From leather to linen, explore how clothing of the period was fashioned, learn how dyes were made from plants and natural fibers processed into cloth, and observe the stitching of simple apparel and accessories. Discover types of clothing worn by 18th-century Virginia farmers and Continental Army soldiers and, at Jamestown Settlement, 17th-century English sailors and colonists and Powhatan Indians.
