Father’s Day at Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest

This Father’s Day, treat your dad to a tour of Thomas Jefferson’s personal retreat and plantation grounds. Thomas Jefferson’s grandchildren were his most frequent guests at Poplar Forest, where they often spent time reading and studying the natural landscape together. Enjoy the tranquility of the natural landscape that once inspired Jefferson’s creativity; take a guided tour of his most personal architectural design; view special exhibits featuring recent archaeological finds on the plantation; and learn more about the restoration in progress. Admission is free for fathers all day!
Admission to Poplar Forest includes a guided house tour, self-guided tours of the grounds exhibits and the Enslaved Community Tours (when offered): $15 for adults; $13 for seniors (ages 65+) and active military (must show ID); $7 for college students (must show ID) and youth ages 12–18; $3 for youth ages 6–11; and free for children under age 6 and Poplar Forest members.
