  • 6-27-2014  6:00 pm BBQ & Bluegrass -  FREE -  Music:  Ralph Stanley II; Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome;  and Amber Collins & Turning Point .   Richlands Police Dept.; Food & BBQ Vendors, Bumper Boats, WOW Bubbles, face Painting, Quilt Show, photo contest.
  •  6-28-2014   9am  -FREE - Bill Haley, Jr & The Comets 8:30 pm & Tyler Hammond Band  7:00 pm;    The Jackson Family, The Julilaires Quartet, KT Vandyke & Driftin Westward, Ebby Jewell & the Bluegrass Kinsmen, John Goad; & Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome will play also.  Vendors, Authors, Artists, WOW Bubbles, Bumper Boats, Quilt Show, Motorcycle  Show,  Photo Contest; History Characters, Artisans, Crafters, Bouncy Rides, Food, Cloggers,   Face Painting,  Free Swimming at Rec Park; Paint a Pallet Contest Winners;  Cruise-In.    General Lee, General Grant, Abraham Lincoln, Colonel Dahnmom Whitt,  Fred Powers, & Richard Barber will be set up .  Johnny Hagerman, artist & brick sculptor will be present also.  The Appalachian Hoedowners will perform.  "Uncle Bill," William Sherrill will host a children's show.  Fireworks 10 pm
  • Musical entertainment- free.

 The purpose of the Freedom Festival is to provide a quality event that promotes history, the local Appalachian culture, musical entertainment & patriotism.     

  • The Freedom Festival 5K Run/Walk is June 21, 2014, at 8:00 am at the Richlands Police Dept.
