The 3rd annual FREEDOM FESTIVAL will be held in Richlands on June 26 & 27, 2015. The goal of the festival is to promote patriotism, history,  Appalachian culture,  and to provide musical entertainment & fireworks for the community.    

ALL musical entertainment is FREE.   Music will be provided on Friday & Saturday. GALFriday at 7:00 and Tyler Hammond at 8:00.  Marty Raybon  at 9:00.    Located at the police dept. for both days will be the Race Day Bus, mechanical bull, Wonderland Express, Rowdy's Rodeo (mechanical bull), M-3 Simulator, games, food vendors and more.

 Vendors, artisans, crafters, & authors will have a diverse selection of goods.  The History Corner characters , Giles Artillery Battery , & Traveling Tara will be at the Richlands Police Dept. The  quilt show. photo contest, cruise-in & motorcycle bike night will take place on Saturday.

Loop Rawlins, "Wild West Entertainer," has 3 shows.  The Horn Family & Christy Lynn, shows are on Sat. afternoon.   At 6:00 pm., Jimmy Rose will play.  Next, will be Tyler Hammond at 7:00.  Sammy Sadler will play next and then Ken Mellons will perform.  At 10:30 the annual fireworks will be shot.

  • The Freedom Festival 5K Run/Walk is June 20, 2015, at 8:00 am at the Richlands Police Dept.  Immediately after the awards for the 5K, the 1st Goodwill's Freedom Walk will take place.
