It’s time for summer fun and Gardens at Night at the MSV! Casual, family-oriented events, Gardens at Night features live music, free children’s activities, food from Bonnie Blue, and beer and wine available for purchase. The Museum’s Glen Burnie Gardens and the galleries are also open for tours during Gardens at Night (concerts will take place on the lawn by the Museum).
Sponsored by Navy Federal Credit Union and Shenandoah County Q102, the September 9 event will be highlighted by the Robbie Limon Band. A popular Shenandoah Valley musician and award-winning entertainer who mixes solo and band appearances with acting and singing roles at professional theaters, Robbie Limon has been part of the Valley’s music scene for more than ten years. He has recorded six CDs and portrayed, to great acclaim, both Hank Williams Sr. and Buddy Holly in shows at the Wayside Theatre in Middletown, Virginia. A musician who brings his love of 1970s-era songwriters to each performance, Limon and his band will play an eclectic mix of music by the Eagles, Tom Jones, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doobie Brothers, and more.
Free to MSV Members, ages 12 & under, and active military personnel & their families (includes concert, galleries & gardens). All others: $10. Gates open at 6 p.m.; music 7–9 p.m. Bring a chair. No outside food/drink, please.
