The Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) hosts the Hampton Crabtown Environmental Expo. The event will serve to educate citizens in Hampton Roads about oysters, local aquaculture, water quality, wetland restoration, sea level rise, environmental indicators, sustainability, and storm-water stress.
Special guests for Hampton Crabtown Environmental Expo include speakers from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, NASA Langley Research Center, and the City of Hampton.
In addition to the planned speakers, exhibitors will also be on site to speak with interested parties. These include the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Hampton Roads Solar Group, Peninsula Chicken Keepers, Hampton Clean City Commission, Hampton Parks and Recreation, Hampton VCE Master Gardeners, Peninsula Virginia Master Naturalists, Hampton Roads Sanitation District, Tidewater Oyster Gardening Association, Terra Scapes, and VT Seafood AREC. Hampton teachers are approved to receive CEU for attending the event.
