The Hampton Roads Sustainable Living Expo(HRSLE) is a regional event designed to engage the greater Hampton Roads community in exploring the balance between social, economic, and environmental responsibility. With the focus of this year’s event on energy, attendees can learn new methods and technologies aimed at increasing energy efficiency.

  • Explore exhibits from Hampton Roads localities, environmental agencies, and various sustainable businesses
  • Learn about alternative energy, energy conservation, and upcoming offshore wind and solar projects in Hampton Roads
  • Panel Discusions:  Government Energy Initiatives, Solid Waste to Energy, Environmental Youth Forum, Rain Garden Barrel Demonstration
  • Tour the amazing sustainability features of the newly-constructed Kellam High School – projected to earn LEED® Gold certification
  • Network with other sustainable businesses and explore ways to incorporate sustainable practices
  • Food available for purchase from CXB Barbecue, Whole Foods, and Hawaiian Sno food trucks
  • Goodwill Industries will collect your gently used clothing, household goods and electronics

Participants will be rewarded for their interest in sustainability with a chance to win:

  • 2 tickets to the Adventure Park at the Virginia Aquarium
  • 2 tickets to the Lynnhaven River NOW Oyster Roast
  • A one-night stay at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel
  • 2 tickets to Steve Earle and Shawn Colvin Concert at the Sandler Center
