Shelton Drum, owner of Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find comic book stores and founder of the renowned annual Heroes Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, brings William King Museum a vast array of comic books, original art, and memorabilia from his private collection and retail venues. This exhibit will begin by showcasing key artists from the 1950s and 60s then progressing forward to artists working today. With the help of the founder of Bristol’s Out of Step Arts Collective, published super hero art, comic related items like original paintings, will be brought to William King Museum to display along with non-superhero pages like Conan. This exhibit will feature comic arts past and present with recognizable characters that are sure to surprise and excite fans of all ages.
