Welcome to the 2014 Historic Garden Week sponsored by the Garden Club of Virginia and the Virginia Beach Garden Club and the Princess Anne Garden Club. Celebrate spring by touring 5 private homes and one garden in the area of Alanton and Oak Hill Farm. Additionally 6 historic properties will be on tour. The Virginia Beach Tour showcases some of Virginia Beach’s most beautiful residential views. Designers capitalize on the watery vistas from beautiful homes and graceful gardens. Gardeners delight in the long growing season. Live oaks, bald cypress and Spanish moss thrive at the northern limit of their range. Artists find endless inspiration in the natural beauty of the area.  Art collectors, animal lovers, gardeners, are among the subsets that keep the beach an interesting place to live. A cold buffet luncheon will be available at the Broad Bay Country Club, 2120 Lords Landing, from 11 am - 2 pm ($15) , reservations requested (757) 757-496-9090. Special Activities: The Painted Garden- an art exhibit and sale at The Beach Gallery, 313 Laskin Rd. . The Tour will take place April 30th , 2014, and the Art Show will open April 12th- May 19th, 2014
