The Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History will hold its annual "History on the Lawn" in April 2014. An opening reception for the updated "Between the Lines" Civil War exhibit in the Sutherlin Mansion will take place on Friday, April 11 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Join Civil War Reenactors of the Virginia 18th Infantry as they set up camp on the grounds of the historic Sutherlin Mansion on Friday, April 11, from 4:00- 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 12, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Between the Lines" has been updated with new text panels, hands-on displays, and two life-sized murals.
Visitors can continue their historic tour of Danville by touring the Sutherlin Mansion and its Civil War exhibits. Other historical sites include Grove Cemetery and taking the Millionaire's Row or Holbrook walking tours.
