Hogtown BBQ, hosted by the Union Church Preservation Project, is a FREE community event that will feature lots of exciting activities, crafts, food, and entertainment for people of all ages. Kids will have a moon-bounce, face painting, races, and more. Adults can enjoy horseshoes, cornhole, a dunk tank and other activities. Also offered will be numerous vendors with various arts and crafts as well as lots of food vendors - including a wide variety of the area's best barbeque!
One of the event's highlight attractions will be the Civil War 150 HistoryMobile exhibit from the Virginia Sesquicentennial Commission.
Visitors are encouraged to take a tour of the Union Church Historic Site, located within walking distance from the site location, and visit other historic sites, such as Gari Melchers' Belmont, Chatham Manor, and George Washington's Ferry Farm, all within a ten-minute drive.
While the event is free to the public, all funds raised will go to support the Union Church Preservation Project, which is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to preserve the Union Church Historic Site.
