Don't miss the park's biggest event. Enjoy pumpkin carving and painting (pumpkins will be for sale), candle dipping, apple pressing, face painting, 19th century children's games, Civil War re-enactors, an apple slingshot, a candy maze and more. Wagon rides for $3/person or $8/family run every half hour from 1 to 6 p.m. Enjoy the sunset and sip hot cider by the bonfire at 6:30 p.m. When darkness falls, take a spooky trail to the amphitheater and enjoy a family friendly movie there at 7:30 p.m. Goblins will hand out candy. Dress for the weather and bring a blanket, chairs and a flashlight. Food, popcorn and drinks will be for sale. Proceeds benefit the Friends of James River State Park.
