Jeffrey Siegel elucidates and enlightens audiences on one of the most celebrated composers of the Romantic Era in his third performance at the Center this season. In this enchanting evening of classical music, Mr. Siegel performs Liszt’s heavenly Ave Maria, the devilish Mephisto Waltz, and the Sonata in B Minor, perhaps Liszt’s most autobiographical work. “Siegel’s programs strengthen the fragile bonds of communication between composer and listener and are as welcome as they are rare.” (Chicago Tribune)
