This landmark commissioning and concert project, conceived by acclaimed concert pianist Anthony de Mare, brings together 36 of the world's foremost contemporary composers to "re-imagine" the Broadway legend Stephen Sondheim's songs as solo piano works. Among the composers are Broadway's Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza), pioneering American minimalist Steve Reich, and Pulitzer Prize winner William Bolcom.
