Local flavor meets regional rock, jazz, blues, and bluegrass when Main Street Music takes over Crute Stage in Farmville Downtown the third Thursday night of each month May - September. A production of Farmville Downtown Partnership, Main Street Music became a monthly "must do" in 2013 for music lovers of all ages. Main Street Music committee Chair Spencer Conover is pumped about the concert series' second season.
"We're very focused on the cultural enrichment of Farmville," Conover said of the Music Series. "Our lineup this season is diverse and features local and regional talent. We've got bands coming from all across the Heart of Virginia, the Commonwealth, and from as far away as Jacksonville, Florida."
The series is being sponsored this year by WFLO; Mainly Clay; Real Living Cornerstone; Virginia Credit Union; Fourth Street Motor Company; and Terri Atkins Wilson, Attorney & Counselor-at-Law.
Adding to the season will be entertaining and engaging activities for kids and the High Bridge Railroad Club will be open under the stage.
