All weekend long Pamplin Historical Park will feature a variety of living history programs demonstrated by our costumed interpreters. Come get a taste of what life was really like during the Civil War era!
On Monday, May 30th, join us for our Memorial Day commemoration ceremony, featuring Voices of Valor, a dramatic presentation of the final letters from soldiers who gave their all during the Breakthrough Battle of April 2, 1865. The presentation is followed by an artillery firing, color guard, and the playing of Taps in honor of those who have sacrificed all for their country.
Later in the day enjoy From Reveille to Taps, a demonstration of Civil War bugle calls by accomplished historical bugler Bill Stallings. Stay for Civil War musical selections by our own band of historical musicians.
Voices of Valor begins at 12:30pm in the Education Center.
Artillery demonstration at 12:50pm, followed by Taps.
Bugle call demonstration at 2:00pm at the Military Encampment.
Civil War music at 3:00pm in the Education Center.
All activities are free with Park admission
