This exhibition in the Forrest E. Mars, Sr. Exhibit Hall of the Library is a portrayal of the art and practice of riding aside in books, paintings, illustrations, photographs and ephemera. Commentary by rare book expert Richard Hooper provides an overview of side saddle literature. NSLM archival material as interpreted by 2011 John H. Daniels Fellow Professor Alison L. Goodrum,
Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester, England, is noted.



Admission Fee: Wednesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Library is free. This exhibit is in the Library building.Members free. Museum admission $10.00 for adults over 18; $8.00 for adults 65 and over; $8.00 for youth ages 13 to 18; youth under the age of 13 are free. Library is free.
