The Norfolk NATO Festival honors and promotes the international influence the NATO Command in Norfolk, VA and its 28 member nations, brings to our city. The Norfolk NATO Festival, formerly Norfolk's International Azalea Festival, is a unique international experience and it is the only Festival in the United States which celebrates the NATO Alliance! The Festival kicks off on Friday with a military Flag Raising Ceremony, honoring the flags and national anthems of the 28 Members Nations of the NATO Alliance. Saturday morning at 10am, the Parade of Nations, longest and most musical parade in the area, marches through downtown Norfolk. The Parade features colorful floats of the NATO Nations along with marching bands featured in the Virginia International Tattoo. Immediately following the Parade, head down to Norfolk's waterfront Town Point Park for NATOFest featuring the 28 NATO Country Booths in the NATO Village, International Food, a Beer Garden and European street fair style entertainment. So mark your calendar for April 22 & 23, 2016 and Come to Norfolk, VA to experience 28 Nations - No Passport Required!
