Drawing the human figure, a classic artistic practice, is a wonderfully engaging, energetic, challenging, and rewading activity.    This class will follow the methods of Kimon Nicolidies "the Natural Way to Draw," Betty Edwards, and Manuel Neri, to name a few. By the Practice of "Zen Seeing" students transfer the essence of the live model to their page. It's not that hard, be willing to let go and shift to an esthetic experience. Through studying the figure with energetic gesture drawing, slow meditative contour drawing, and many other methods, plum lines & pencil measurements, contrast, and carving planes; enjoy the process and be amazed at the progress this enjoyable journey brings.  Students draw live model starting with pencil, or whatever they like, and large paper.  Material list: paper, boards, easels , preferred medium, charcoal.

Minimum Age: Responsible Young Adult
