Learn to build your own Primitive Bow Instruction and Kits provided by long time bow builder Alton Hill

The Primitive Bow you will be building will be a strong a strong and functioning bow of assorted wood species: Hickory, Elm, Osage, Black Locust. Design choices include Native American, European, or hybrid. The workshop also includes an introduction to arrow making and arrow shafting, shooting styles, & string making.

Cost is $575. Cost covers all programming and instructor fees, primitive bow kits, meals and lodging. Compare this to the average price of purchasing a bow.

  • This Workshop is designed for adult participants, 18 and over. 
  • Participation is limited to 12 students for a better instructor participant ratio! 
  • One Bow (completed during workshop) and one additional bow stave (to build at home). Knowledge to last a lifetime!
