This annual cold-blooded weekend explores the bizarre and beautiful aspects of reptiles. See exotic reptiles from around the world and reptiles native to Virginia. Reptiles will be on exhibit and also shown in live animal programs. Reptiles are perhaps the most misunderstood and most feared creatures on earth, but the Virginia Living Museum wants the public to see their fascinating and attractive aspects as well as educating them about responsible pet ownership. Explore exotic and native lizards in the “Lizard Lounge.” di Learn about the museum’s citizen science projects such as FrogWatch and Turtle Census. See the differences between venomous and nonvenomous reptiles. There will be several guest exhibitors. Enjoy special planetarium programs for an additional fee, including "A Sky Full of Scales."
