Come enjoy Winchester's Annual Rockin' Independence Eve, an All-American event on the Old Town Winchester walking mall Sunday, July 3! Rockin' Independence Eve celebrates our nation's independence and is a free, family-friendly event that boasts fun for all ages.
Live music featuring the Navy Country Current will be set up at the Feltner Parking lot behind Rouss City Hall. Cabin Creek, featuring certified organic and gluten free modern folk music, will be there as well. A beer and wine garden, the Snow White Grill Hamburger Eating Contest and a cornhole tournament will also take place on the lot.
Numerous kids’ activities will be located throughout the Loudoun Street Mall, primarily near the splash pad.
The evening will be capped off with an impressive fireworks show, launched from near the Mount Hebron Cemetery. The fireworks will be viewable from several different locations throughout Old Town Winchester, but the best place to view the fireworks show will be from North Kent Street (no viewing allowed from the roof of the Autoparks).
The fireworks show will begin shortly after the conclusion of Rockin Independence Eve around 9:15 pm.
