Second Annual P. Buckley Moss Invitational Student Juried Show
The P. Buckley Moss Museum in conjunction with the P. Buckley Moss Foundation for Children's Education is proud to announce the second annual juried art show for junior and senior high school students. This Invitational, which includes students from surrounding communities, gives young artists a real-world experience in submitting and exhibiting their art. The five art categories include painting and printmaking, drawing, mixed media, sculpture and photography. The exhibit will open Thursday, April 25th and will run until May 20th, 2013. The Grand Prize winner to be juried by artist P. Buckley Moss.
Jurors for each category will be:
Painting and Printmaking - Artists Alexander Anufriev and Tanya Anisimova formerly of the Soviet Union, currently living and working in Virginia. Drawing - Jason Miles, artist and co-owner of Morgan-Miles Picture Framing. Mixed Media - Marcene J. Molinaro, of Molinaro Appraisal Services, LLC. Photography - artist Lynn Hilton Conyers of Windtuck Pottery. Sculpture - artist Robert Bricker of the Bronze Craft Foundry in Waynesboro. There will be an opening reception on April 25th, 2013 at 6 p.m. with Pat Moss in attendance. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. Please plan to attend.
