Bach Festival is a week-long summer music festival devoted to promoting an appreciation and understanding of the music of Bach. Music by composers from all eras and styles is also featured each season. The festival takes place on the campus of Eastern Mennonite University and First Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg. Three ticketed performances with orchestra, choir, and soloists; six daily noon chamber music concerts; and a Sunday Leipzig service infuse the Valley with unparalleled musical richness. Acclaimed soloists and an orchestra of professional musicians from across the country create outstanding performances.
A Road Scholar program, the Virginia Baroque Performance Academy, and youth programs are part of the varied activities included at the Festival.
This summer, celebrate the 24th annual festival June 12-19 with music from all eras in orchestral, choral, solo, and chamber music settings!
