Head to the National Zoo’s Autumn Conservation Festival and enjoy an unforgettable day in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is the only time of year when you can visit the Zoo’s breathtaking 3,200-acre Conservation and Biology Center in Front Royal, VA. Connect with nature as you talk with world-famous scientists, explore the tools and technology used to understand animals, their habitats and get a sneak peak at some of SCBI’s endangered species. Learn the history of the facilities from WWI thru its use as a POW camp in WWII.  For more information visit us online.  SCBI is set in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Festival activities are scattered throughout the campus. Dress for outdoor activities and wear comfortable shoes.
