Have you ever wondered how an artist creates a masterpiece? Westmoreland County Museum will hold its 2nd annual artists’ studio tour, Sat., May 23 from 1-4 PM. The tour will feature local Mt. Holly and Hague artists: Clarence “Juice” McKenney’s carved duck decoys, Linda Boatman’s oil paintings and sketches, Marcia Read-Thomason’s hand-painted silk scarves, Teresa Edwards' still life oil paintings, Doc Dugan's scenic oil paintings, Suzy Evans’ impressionistic oil paintings, and husband-wife artisans, Jim Bell’s woodworking pieces and Helen Bell fiber creations. Jim Bell will donate 10% of his proceeds to the museum.
Tickets are $20 (or $5 per studio) and includes admission to all artists’ studios and free hors d’oeuvres at each stop. Tickets can be purchased at the museum, The Art of Coffee, Murphy Seed Service, Erica Mall, or Left Bank Gallery, or at any of the artists’ studios on the day of the tour. This tour is self-guided.
When you purchase your ticket at any of the participating distributors, you will receive a tour brochure with directions and background information on all of the selected artists. Attendees must either get their ticket punched by a museum representative at each studio or pay $5 before they will be permitted to enter the artist’s studio.
Admission Fee: $20 per person for a tour ticket- entry to all artists' studios, or $5 per person per site
