An annual event featuring a delightful 18th century gentleman’s cottage. This small, gambrel-roofed house is a fine example of an eighteenth-century gentleman's house. It contains a collection of period furnishings, including silver, glass, porcelain, and furniture. It was built by James Mercer, first judge of the General Court in Fredericksburg. The house is open twice a year and by appointment, and serves as a residence.
