6th annual Tidewater Oyster Gardeners Association (TOGA) Virginia Half-Shell Oyster Tasting outside Kelsick Specialty Market in Gloucester VA.  

Six different middle peninsula oyster growers will be featured for a total of 24 oysters per ticket holder.  Tickets are available at Kelsick Specialty Market in Gloucester  and

Shucking demonstrations and shucking tips. How to taste an oyster will be part of the afternoon program.  Tasting cards for participants to write down their own impressions of the nuances of taste differences between local Virginia oysters.

Beverages will be available for purchase on-site.  Oyster information, ability to take home oysters from local oyster growers that day or order oysters for the holiday season is part of the event.  Music will round out this fall outdoor afternoon event.

Hosted by Tidewater Oyster Gardeners Association - a non-profit volunteer organization of over 500 members dedicated to promoting oyster aquaculture and helping to clean up the Chesapeake Bay and it's tributaries.
