This Yorktown Victory Center exhibition examines how people from many different cultures, those in Virginia before the 1607 founding of Jamestown and those who arrived later, shaped a new society, with a focus on immigration from 1607 to 1830 and the stimulus created by the founding of the republic. Yorktown Victory Center is open daily 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (until 6 p.m. June 15-August 15).
