Special charity event organized by the Smith Mountain Lake Boating Association involves playing poker from watercraft. Prices are awarded for both winning and losing hands and best "decked out" boat and crew. The Poker Run is dedicated to boating safety. All proceeds go to a worthy cause. Other special events surrounding the Poker Run weekend include a welcome dinner/reception and entertainment on Friday night at Mango's Restaurany; Saturday's event and Poker Run will be held at Mariner's Landing as well as a special boating safety orientation class.
